I always love seeing other people’s favorites. And I especially love when those favorites aren’t restrained to a certain specific topic. So that’s what I’m going to write about today. I’m sharing some of the things I’ve been loving lately, a little makeup, a little fashion, and whatever else I feel like including :-p
Let’s jump right in to it….!
All the Lip Gloss: The early 2000’s called and they brought their glossy lips back. I’m not sure how it happened but matte lips are out (for me personally) and gloss and shine is in. I picked up a few glosses recently that I love but first to prep my lips I’ve been using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask that I picked up in the most recent Sephora VIB Sale. This lip mask combined with regularly exfoliation has been keeping my lips nice a soft for whatever products I use during the day. As for lip gloss, I’m obsessed with the Loreal and Camila Cabello Lip Dew. Also, from Loreal I’m loving the Color Riche Shines. Going a bit more high end, the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb is beautiful as are the Bite Beauty French Press glosses.
Tarte Shape Tape: I’m sorry, this isn’t new. But after a summer of light coverage looks, I’ve rediscovered my love for the full coverage and specifically Tarte Shape Tape. It’s just so darn good. I’ve also heard good things about the Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer but have not tried it yet. I’m mildly skeptical as the Born This Way Foundation was not my favorite.
The Return of Boot Season: If you know me, you know I love boots. Living in Houston and working from home has put a little bit of a damper on my boot game. Well to be fair, working from home has put a damper on my shoe game overall considering I don’t wear shoes at all during my work day- but I digress. It’s finally starting to get a little bit cooler in Houston which means it’s socially acceptable to bust out my boots. I just picked up a super cute pair of booties from Target, perfect for fall in Houston. I’m also looking forward to retiring one of my old pairs of riding boots and picking up a new pair this year.
Girl, Wash Your Face: I’ve been powering through this book since I downloaded it on my kindle. First, it feels so nice just to spend some time reading for fun. But second, I love the positivity coursing through this book. I’m someone that can easily slip in to the negative but I know that I’m much happier when I live in the glass half full side of life. This book and the recommendations throughout have been a wonderful reminder to do just that.
Samantha Ravndahl: I want to be best friends with this girl. Sam is a beauty youtuber/instagramer/influencer. Not only does she do incredibly beautiful makeup looks (that I couldn’t possibly achieve on my best day) but she also keeps it so incredibly real. Her sarcastic humor courses through her videos, typically accompanied by legitimately, informative advice for improving your makeup skills. Any time I see a new video of hers pop up in my feed it gets a click immediately.
Alright y’all there are a few things I’ve been in to lately, tell me below what have you been loving lately?
