Fall might not really come to Houston... but that doesn't mean you can't rock a solid fall makeup look. Today I'm sharing the products I use for my go-to fall look.
I am a huge fan of monochromatic makeup. For me it's an easy way to throw together a complete, put together look. Fall browns/maroons/deep reds/oranges are perfect color combinations for creating an every day monochromatic look.
To create this look, I started with the eyes. I used the perfect warm fall palette, The Nubian by Juvia's Place. Starting with the eyes is also an easy way create a sharper edge to the eye shadow by giving yourself the ability to clean it up with a makeup wipe before applying foundation and concealer. For this look I built the color in the crease, added definition to the outer corner, and finished up the lid and inner corner with a light shimmery color.
My brows already already plenty full so I don't do much to them most days. This day, I set the brows with the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara. This product will not work for everybody but if you've already got thick brows that just need a little taming this will do the job. I completed the eye look with Loreal's Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara.
After finishing up the eyes I moved to the face. For this look I used Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer and a combination of Cover Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 and Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundations. I used Tarte Shape Tape Concealer to cover those dark circles and brighten up the under eye area then set the base look with (an oldie but a goodie) MAC Mineralize Skinfinish.
From there it's on to contour, bronzer, and blush. I love a good contour and my favorite contour palette is the Lorac PRO Contour Palette. Side note on this palette, I went through the to setting/highlighting powders super quickly using them to set my under eye. Luckily, the contour colors have been going strong for quite awhile though, no signs of pan yet.
I skipped the bronzer this day (as I embraced my slow descent in to winter paleness) and used THE most pigmented blush ever- Emite Makeup's Artist Colour Powder Blush in 108. I got this in a Glossybox awhile back and it is truly the most pigmented blush I've ever owned. A quick tap of the brush is all that is needed with this guy.
Last but not least I lined my lips with my all time favorite your lips but better lip liner- the Beauty For Real D-Fine Lip Pencil (another Glossybox win). Then topped that off with NYX Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi.
And that's it, everything I used to create this classic fall look. What are some of your favorite products for fall?
